GTM x AI
9/7/2026
AI tools do not fix a legacy GTM structure. This week: the automated bow tie, conflicting AI visibility metrics, weaker GRR and the margin gap nobody modelled.

PERSONAL PROGRESS
↳ In Defense of Thinking — Cal Newport
→ Newport's claim is harder than the usual focus argument. It isn't that we lack time to think deeply, it's that we're losing the capacity to. Ten years on from Deep Work he thinks the problem got worse, not better, and AI shortcuts are part of why.
→ On a personal note, the line that landed was about ceding your brain by default. I've started leaving the phone on the charger in another room for the first hour of the day. Two days in. The first morning was genuinely uncomfortable, which is probably the point.
